A very warm, pleasant day greeted
the anglers. There was little wind ,
the sea being very calm. We started
our first drifts of the day just
over twenty miles out of Newhaven and
it was young Peter who caught the first
cod of the day and then caught a
further two and numerous mackerel. His
only complaint was that his arms ached
!!!

Altogether there were 23 cod and
pollack upto about 18lbs with Matt and
Frankie getting the two
biggest.

Everyone on the boat caught fish,
considering that six of the people had
never boat fished before this was quite
an achievement with the more
experienced anglers advising and
untangling the novices.
|
|
The fact that everyone caught was
namely down to the brilliant skippering
skills of Dave with lots of friendly
advice and help from Pete and Foz.
|
We all agreed that this was a superb
day out - not only the fishing but the
general atmosphere.Cheers Dave and
Pete---we`ll be back for more!!
