FEBRUARY'S
FIRST RUN OF COD & POLLACK
February
has started with a storm!!
Dave Roberts' crew from London had a good
day on the Cod fishing, with around 40 Cod
caught with 5 anglers that day 30 miles
off with a flat calm sea.
The biggest Cod was caught by George
Roberts, which is Dave's brother and
weighed in at 27lb 7oz, caught on a
pirk.
Dave Roberts had the next biggest at 24lb
6oz which was caught on a red gil and
plenty of others in double figures.
The next day, Don and Andy Matthews tried
their luck!! They caught 6 cod in the
morning which was a little bit slow,
however, made up for it in the afternoon
by trying a different wreck with a bit
more tide and hit the jackpot - 38
Pollack, mostly all doubles!
Nick Dudman on the left with his 18lb
Pollack and Andy Matthews on the right
with his Pollack of 18lb 2oz, both caught
on red gils on a deep water wreck.
Well done on catching some good fishing -
good start to their New Year as they are
regular crews aboard Ocean Warrior 2.
