WINTER
COD FISHING (NOVEMBER 2004)
Steven
Ramsom from Bexley Heath caught his
personal best Cod's of 15lb and 16lb on an
inshore mark. They were caught using squid
and cuttle baits.
Stefan Grzasko from London who is normally
a keen beach angler thought he would try
his luck at boat fishing. He managed to
catch these two Cod's of 16lb and 20lb on
an inshore rough ground mark, both of
which were his personal best Cod's. They
also caught plenty of good sized Whiting
throughout the day.
Also this month there have also been a lot
of Whiting's caught up to 2lb 8oz. There
have also been quite a few double figured
Cod's caught this month which is a little
bit concerning as we have only had one 8lb
Cod this winter and the rest have all been
big doubles between 12 and 21lb. (and the
small ones are the future
catches!!)
