& MARCH 2005 ON THE NEW OCEAN WARRIOR

February
was quiet for Ocean Warrior because we
were waiting for the new boat to arrive,
which meant that we were out of action for
2 to 3 weeks. But, the week we did get out
fishing was pretty good for Cod with Ben
Evelyn's Really Wrecked Sea Angling Club
catching some really nice double figure
Cods.
Dennis Jones from Burgess Hill caught this
personal best Pollack of 17lb 4 oz on an
offshore wreck.
John Lawrence also caught this personal
best Pollack of 14lb on a deep wreck using
a red gill.
Carl from Newmarket who is a regular
angler on the Ocean Warrior had a 19lb
Cod, which he caught using a red gill.
March, however, has been a lot harder with
mostly Pollack around, but, with the odd
Cod's showing. Some days are good but then
the next day is hard work even though the
weather has been good to us. At least
Summer is around the corner and will start
to anchor for those hard fighting
Congers!!!
The NEW Ocean Warrior 3 is a 38 foot
Aquastar, which has a lot more room and
speed for the anglers. It is also more
stable to fish from and it is superbly
fitted out. I hope the anglers who fish on
her are as happy as I am.
