CONGERING
WITH REALLY WRECKED SAC - MAY
2005
We
managed to get a day in Conger fishing at
the end of May!!
Ben Eveling and the Really Wrecked Sea
Angling Club came out for a days wreck
fishing with us and it seems at last theat
the Congers are now begining to show.
This 'pair' are Phil Pepper on the right
with his catch of 53lb, and on the right
is Neil Cook with his eel of 51lb.

The
biggest catch of the day was caught by
Chris Grant with this one of 59lb.
The total catch for the morning was 21
Congers, 4 of which were over the 50lb
mark! All of the eels were returned alive
for someone else to enjoy catching aboard
Ocean Warrior 3. On the way back to port
we also managed to drift a couple of
wrecks, of which we found a few small
Pollack but unfortunately not much tide,
and when the tide started to run we had a
few Cod's up.

On
another ground fishing trip, Steve Ramsom
from Bexley Heath caught this really nice
Plaice of 2lb 7oz, which was caught using
a lugg/squid cocktail.
Also caught on the day were a nice few
smooth-hounds with plenty of dog fish also
showing and a smallish tope.
The ground fishing has been better this
month than in previous years, it is a nice
easy relaxing days fishing.
