Frost from Really Wrecked Sea Angling Club

We also had a few small Conger's during
the day.

During
February 2006 we have started to go out to
the deep water wrecks. Don and Andy
Matthews and crew managed to get out to
some deep water wrecks. On the first wreck
we had some nice Pollack of which were
mainly in the double figures along with
some small Cod's. After that we looked at
a couple of other wrecks but they were
very quiet, but with an hour and a half
fishing time left we decided to go deeper.
This paid off with some 'Cracking Cod's'.
On the first drift most of the rods went
straight into the Cod's. Within an hour we
had 4 Cod over 20lb with the biggest being
24lb, with a total catch on the day of up
to 500lb of which were mainly Cod. We then
had to leave due to the tide but left the
wreck still fishing well but had to head
home which was a shame but with the
weather changing we haven't managed to get
back to the wreck just yet.

Alan
had the biggest Cod of the day with one at
24lb, which was absolutely full of roe.
Even though we snapped and lost 2 big fish
and dropped quite a few.
Well done to all the crew - an Awesome
Day's fishing - what a good start to the
year - let's hope that there are more to
come!!!
